  • New Year's Morning

Already posted this in the general thread, but reckon it deserves a shot here...

Spent the nights of 31/12/09 and 1/1/10 in our brand new roof tent, in conditions cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. Lovely and toasty in there though - nice thick mattress, blankets, fleeces, a cup of tea...

Did you not notice the nice big warm building next to it when you pulled up?

      Nissan Patrol for on-road, and a Land-Rover 110 shed for off-road :-)

        Apparently so

The problem was the dozen or so family members (not our family, even, since we were gate crashing) filling every bit of floor space, including the barn... And since we had it on the roof, and it was new... Actually slept pretty well!

I reserve the right not to answer that question, except to say it was bl00dy baltic out there, and in future I'll be taking a bottle!

We got ours off ebay, there's always one or two on there. They vary in price enormously from a couple of hundred to many thousands of pounds - ours is a well used second hand 'autocamp' one (one of the expensive ones), as we're going to be living in it for 6 months next year.
