Storm, that was just on the border of Saudi, the sand was that hot it burnt your feet!!! Them tyres had to be let down so much too, yo can do around 80mph then hard right hand and just let the steering wheel go and revs on as you fish tailed freely across the desert . was awesome.....will get pictures of my surf this weekend though and post them now i figured how to do it!!! lol

Was that at the Inland Sea. Used to have a bit of fun there myself when I lived in Doha

I used to live in Doha too (1993-1997), went to Doha College. Worked for and am good friends with Tony Porter who is a car dealer in Doha, you may know of him as he sells 4x4s etc?
Have had many desert trips and wall of death experiences!

I agree, it dosn't HAVE to be mud and water, BUT, its just thats all you get in the this country. Find me a desert and dunes in the UK, and I'll first in the queue (right before its shut down to 4x4's by the Eco-nazi's.)

Don't think you're truck will get off any easier, sand will destroy bearings and seals as quick as mud, as well as block your filters. The lead footed people who drive mad in mud will only do it in sand as well, normally quicker and making more mess!
