Yep, it's the other side of the Cuckmere, I parked in the 7 sisters car park (£3.50 later ) walked back to the Golden Galleon (on the Seaford side of the river) then took the path along the river before climbing after the Coastguard cottages.
If you get there early you should be able to get into either the Golden Galleon's carpark or the 7 sisters but be warned they both fill up fast at this time of year.
There is the energetic method of parking at Birling Gap and walking across the 7 sisters, down to the country park and then back out the beach by the Golden Galleon, but remember you got to walk back - hope you are fit !
I love that stretch of coast and try to get there when I can.
