boat perkins cylinder head removal

hi my dad has a 1967 perkins diesel engine in his boat, the head gasket has gone and i am trying to take the head off but it,s not budging after removing the nuts, any suggestions??? the engine has wet cylinder liners

soak the studs in penertrating oil , the whole can , leave it overnight ,in th morning turn it over on the starter, pop, the head will release

im just worried the liners will move, do u think it would or try it and see? used a thing called bosheild t9 last night will try on sunday or monday, thanks james
