Whiteout on Cairngorms

Wife's 50th Birthday booked a house near Aviemore and a ski lesson.Morning was fine at the top of the mountain but after dinner the instructor took us up a ski pull and then the weather came in and you couldn't see the Ptarmigan lodge. 6 of us had to find our way back by following the green poles. I fell hitting a 3 foot bank of snow which I didn't see. Walked back the rest. The wife was the only one to ski all the way back without falling, about 500yrds. Not bad after 2 hrs of lessons.

Pity, it's a cracking place when the visibility is good.

I was in that area on me hols from 13th - 20th. At aviemore a few times. Didnt spot any surfs tho.
