Mahindra Jeep?

Hi Guy's & Gals

I have a friend out in Goa India looking to by a Mahindra jeep.

can anybody tell me what pitfalls there are in buying such a car?

I say car as I believe that you can have 4x4 or not.

I know that they are bought in in kit form and assembled in Goa.
The usual signs of neglect should be easy to see but are there any particular problems with this type of car is what I would like to know?
