This event has been canceled As the military are preventing any large organised events. If you want to drive the plain please still do so.If you wish to follow the route above you may but it will not be code boarded' You've arrived on a rather special night. It's one of the master's affairs.'

Thank you, fairly quiet affair, overshadowed by the baby Jesus's birthday
Originally posted by BioHazard View PostThey have envolked a local bylaw, It states that all large events on the plain must be organised by a licenced person and the route must be submitted and approved before the run.(too late at this time ) It also states that no pre-marked routes may be set up around the Plain. By doing this they are trying to control numbers and routes used to keep us off of the few green lanes that they have not graveled over, Including one that a farmer ploughs up every year and then complains when it is used even though he is in the wrong (even the military maps show the route through the field). Local consensus is that this is a move to close some well used routes on the plain in the near future and limit access further.
Or as you have hinted at another step towards exclusion from Salisbury Plain, is this just targeting off roaders or just because of licensing?Eat.Sleep.Surf.Repeat.

Basicly the way I understand it if I organised a 10+ truck run on here with group leaders I will need a to apply for a licence, set up an approved route ....NO GREEN LANES.
If we just sort of meet and go for a drive that's ok
As most 4x4 forums do a xmas event driving the plain that will put them in the organised event situation and i know the landy forums use way markers.
IMHO the nav run is the target as we use byways that are not commonly used but need to be driven or we will lose the right to. Also the German village area is very bad atm from public and military use But only the public use is blamed.' You've arrived on a rather special night. It's one of the master's affairs.'
