    Yo!
    Are Roman roads protected by law or can they be used by "enthusiasts"(??!!??) like myself for a bit of freetime off roading?

    Some Roman roads are covered with motorways etc.So I guess it boils down to whether its classified as a BOAT , RUPP etc.
    I think the tresspass law is different in Scotland so it just depends how "anti" your council , highway authority etc. are

      Look on a Ordinance Survey map, if its marked as a Byway, feel free (TRO's not withstanding) if its a RUPP (Road Used as a Public Path) you have to prove it has vehicular rights before driving (usually a trip to the council offices).
