btw nick did have rear lockers on. on those steps it doesnt matter what you have etc wet slate = no traction and bugger to get up. but fun

Those steps are not easy
I went up in May and hopefully going again in a few weeks time.
but in May I had 100kg of gear on roof - Rooftent etc, and full of camping gear for a week long laning trip round UK
going lighter weight new time!

I tried the line by the wall first, but failed on a couple attempts,
but got up in end by going on left side of the track (looking up), had to use rear locker though

when did you drive it? since the track was badly washed out in June/July and I am wondering if repair work is finished

Did it with Dannyboy a while back, we had no probs but a couple of others did, silly thing is all my old LR's p****d up it a long while back. Got a pic somewhere of a Patrol getting into trouble on the descent when his auto locking FWH didn't, must dig it out.
