Any plans for laning 29th - 2nd in N Wales

Evening all I am new to the forum but have learnt a lot about the good times had by all up in North Wales and was wondering if anyone had some spare time to show a std croozer around a few lanes over the royal wedding weekend.

The plan to date is head north on Thursday evening of Friday morning early and set up base (yet to be established) close to Mt Snowdon as we plan to go up on Sunday some time but other wise hope to do a few lanes whilst up in the area.

Any takers?

sorry i am away that weekend or i would go out laning! think maybe out middle of may but that would be too far for you to travel just for a days laning

Does anyone have any gps routes i could use for wales with maybe a few comments ont he trail eg. easy/hard damage expected is it ok to go alone...that sort of stuff

I guess i may have to stick to the tar road.....but then i do drive a toyota so that is not going to happen.

Probably won't be able to go the day of the wedding but I'm sure I will be able to make one of the other days.

Shame you can't make it Danny - I will be up for a trip out mid May - MOT booked for the 16th

Evening all

As it stands the plan so far is to head up Norf tomorrow after work arriving around 12 in the evening to a spot for some wild camping. Wake up Friday either check in somewhere to drop bags and have a shower or more likley have a flannel shower and head to Mt Snowdon to catch the first train up and then back down.

Head off for the afternoon to do a few local lanes and then head to base for the night either the place we have booked into in the morning or find a place to stay fo the night.

Saterday is currently open for some lanes or some sight seeing with the intension of staying the night near Llanelltyd so that we can hit a trail on sunday morning spend a night on the trail and then finish Monday to head home.

Rough plan as we have no where booked but if anyone is around i have a gpx i can send you.

None taken Bob I'm almost always around if you want to go on a trip out - the lanes near LLangollen are some of the best myself and Danny have been on IMOH, I'm live about 30 mins from there.

Warren, I'm up for a bit of laning on Saturday - I have a map (cheers Danny) for the area around Llangollen and north west of there. Some really nice lanes around there and we have already tested a lot of the out. I know it is not very close to Llanelltyd but it is well worth the drive, about 55 mins according to google maps. Let me know...
