  • green laning north wales possible routes Vol 2

hi all have put together another map will possible routes i think one of them might be the wayfayer but as i have never been on it im not quite sure! most of them are green dot lanes so it might have to be trial and error but trialwise are a good source and all the lanes Mat and i did last week were open and OK apart form the last one with the tree across it!

hopefully shall be testing these out next saturday 19th Feb and going on some of the ones we did last week!

Saturday is good for me! Isa is away but I think a mate of mine is coming up from Bristol that weekend so he can be the camera man! Hopefully I'll have some LC springs fitted by then, think I will remove the tow bar while I'm at it

There should be sighs up, from what I was told part of the track a been washed away in the area were they use old railway sleepers to form the track as it is so boggy there

9:45 at the bedford arm will be ok. I have a couple of things I need to do for work in the morning, VOSA put a prohibition notice on one of our vehicles today!

got the CB working, should make things a bit easier. cheers for sorting the maps again, we would be lost without them!

                see you there!

good day green laning saturday! a few more lanes not as many we had hoped as i got stuck trying to drive along a narrow bit of track and slid down the bank sideways! luckily didnt roll it as i was first the only way i could be pulled out was backwards and as seen from pics got wedged on a tree, 3.5 hours later and trying to look for life i.e. the farmer! thanks to mat getting a bow saw to cut the root wedging the front wishbone ended up temporarily dismantling the wood wire fence and drove it out forward in to the field were the farmer was just in time to see us do it! like the shop keeper magically appeared from nowhere! but he was OK as we explained what happened and we put it back as we found it and all was good with him! he did say a few have done the same in the past and they are trying to widen the track! more important i think the relationship between farmer and 4x4 was kept in tack!

lesson though perspex windows are the way forward the less glass to break the better! and take a bow saw and shovel as well as tow straps!

but a good day out part of the fun and learning!

for some reason the pics have loaded in reverse order! and no animals were hurt in the making of the video! it escaped through the fence!hehe

Look forward to the next one, I'm away this weekend but think I'm free the following week, let me know if you want to go.

Cal, it's a shame you missed out, you should definitely come next time.
