Lol - Gutted - found the source of my clunk an it turns out the bushes on the rear leaf shackle are blxd an the clunk is the leaf jumpin in an out of the shackle. Worn part of the shackle away so is not safe to offroad. Hopefully fixed next week.

I've also been looking at winches, dunno if it's an easy fit on the surf or not/>?
The red L reg is Mudskippers truck, those tyres are kumho ventures I think, not sure wich exact ones, but yeah they are dammed good.
An!mal_69's where liberated from the front of a parked tractor lol

Funily enough Mudskipper is also looking at fitting a winch so worth checking in on that.

    You want another one Apache!

I don't know what I'd do without my'n now, thursday I drove upto haydock way and back other halfs familey thing up there, then went to gig and back saturday night then up and over the hills with the guys on sunday without missing a beat.

Not many vehicals out there that can manage that for the price I paid for my truck.

Go on you know you want to... lol

I'm sure I remember asking Mark if it would be possible to copy one I saw on an American site years ago.

The Toyota one is pressed steel channel, which is about 3" thick in all so naturally gets in the way by that amount. The one I saw was plasma cut stainless sheet, and gave you back that 3" or so.

Having said that, I never caught it once, even on the big steps up the now closed bit of Sarn Helen but that was probably cos of the lift / 33s I was running. I did hear various clangs and scrapes from Plumb Bobs unmodified truck though.

Seeing your photos reminds me of how much I'm missing my truck

Oh well, gotta move house and buy an old biffer of a 2nd gen to do up!

if you check yotatech John, I've seen aftermarket cross members that allow the transfer box to be twisted up out of the way allowing the bottom of the truck to be armoured with one big skid/belly pan...nice. Not sure if the same applies to the auto mind as most of the yanks are manual V6's
going to have to look into them

What are the chances of a wayfarer run next month ? seen a gazzillion youtube vids of it; and want to give it a go myself; would be great to run it with some old hands like John and Nik.

Would have suggested bala but in work that day.
