I went for a drive at the weekend, simply for want of something to do. I went for a wander round roads I've not been on before. Just to the north-east of Sandon, I went round a bend and just spied a sign, buried in the bushes, that said "Public Byway".

Mirror, screech, reversez-vouz, and I find myself here.

It was wicked! Quite narrow in a couple of places but I didn't feel the need to fire up Memory Map until (as it turned out) I was about 30 seconds from the exit onto the main road.

At some point (and I do remember the thump LOL) I whacked the rear end on something. I smashed the fog light to smithereens (anyone got one I can buy? ) and the rear bumper's shifted. The mrs wasn't impressed but it was worth it...

A few. Actually, though, the one I want most to drive on is permanently closed - it's where most of my photos-of-the-month are taken.

Hahaaaaa! Now you do! Actually, there's one in Stevenage, mate. Find Bessemer Road (might be Drive) and go under the bridge...be careful you don't stray onto the bridleway, though. IIRC, it's (the BOAT, not the bridleway) signed with little red arrows.
