Yeah, that does concern me a bit... When I noticed the oil leak I had just had a really muddy day around Bulford, but didn't get chance to wash anything as the number one priority was getting home. So it's been coated now for over 3 weeks

Here is a pic of what it looked like early on in the day... By the end of the day you couldn't read "Surf" down the side...:

On the way home (before spotting the leak) I blasted through a flooded road (tarmac under about 18 inches of water) which cleaned the underside brilliantly... but the outside and the engine bay were nearly white...

Oh well, get it back tomorrow, off to Tesco's jetwash straight from the garage!

    Jon.

What is german village? Any deep water? I don't have a snorkel (yet), been through a bit of deep stuff but nothing over the headlights... Don't want to sound like a fairy, but can't risk killing the Surf again so soon

Also, how far from Bulford is it? I've got another mate joining around 3pm... I can send him a link from my phone where we are so it's not a biggy...

              Cheers,

              Jon.

Most definitely! I expect there to be a fair bit of banter from the Lame Rover boys on Monday, showed them the google vid of the chicken run and got some comments about the wheel cover One of them is thinking of putting "Surf recovery point" by his tow bar - but what he fails to realise is that so far, my surf hasn't needed towing out once yet!!! (Apart from to the garage to get the seal done.

Speaking of which, just picked her up! £643 bill But she's back and drives much better now there is some oil in the gearbox!!!

                                Bring on Monday!

                                Jon.
