  • Where to find "green lanes"?

    So... is there some manner of guide to where to find green lanes?

    Or am I to just drive around in the hope of one popping up?

    Jon.

      Hi Jon

      Get yourself an OS Landranger Map 174, that covers Newbury area.

      Look in the legend and you will see the Rights Of Way

      You can use RUPPS - Roads used as Public Paths and BOATS - Byways open to all Traffic. This are shown as;

      RUPPS - A red dot / dash line
      BOATS - A +-+-+- red line

      You should also check with the local Rights of Way office to check that any routes arent closed. Although they shouldn't be this time of year.

      I've done a lot of routes from Andover towards South Basingstoke and as long as you dont mind T-Cutting the truck they are good fun

      If you are interested, when I do another day out I'll let you know.
