Mmmmmmmmmm..................
As per PM, no can do I'm afraid, too busy, can't fit everything in....and my parents have been on at me to see my house, nearly a year after I bought it, and this is the only weekend I can make that....hmmmmmm
See you in October instead...besides, my trucks knackered too...
We had a really good time thanks to Lovely Boyo yet again arranging another trip to Wales. The weather was not your typical July weather it was wet and cold and very windy We met up at the campsite on Friday as planned and the beers were broken out the Bar Barque was built by Matty 24 Seven kids they did a fine job, burgers, kebabs steaks and chops were then cooked On Saturday we started off will a new lane which we have named the Clay Hole, it is a fairly tame lane until you get about 2/3s the way through it and then you come across some very interesting holes and axle twisters and plenty of mud excellent lane we then did the old favourite Strata Florida which is always an excellent lane to do, we then fished of with another new lane with plenty of loose gravel and shale on it so plenty of wheel spinning Back to the campsite Bar Barque lit again 24Seven good lady then produces a wok and cooks an exerallant chicken noodle stir fry on the Bar Barque plus more beer Sunday Boy and myself packed our camping gear away 24 Seven staying on campsite all week We started the first lane of the morning heading towards the ranges hoping that the red flag was not flying all of a sudden there is a load of load squeaking from the front drivers side of my Surf and it is shaking quite a lot As we end the first part of the lane we see that the red flag is flying so that puts a stop to completing the lane we turn round and go back the way we have just come The noise from the front of my surf is getting loader so we stopped and had a quick look we could see nothing broken but I decide I was 180 mile from home it was better that I stopped doing the lanes and head for home before I did break something So Andrew and Matt carried on with the trip I head for home and made it in one piece, I hope that they had a good day doing the rest of the lanes I t just leaves me to thank Andrew Lovely Boyo once again for organising the weekend These are a few of 24 Seven photographs of the Saturday http://s256.photobucket.com/albums/hh184/l384580/Llandovery/?albumview=slideshow 4 Runner
The clay pit you mentioned......... trying to do it uphill proved the undoing of my already ropey front diff (damaged last time in Rhayader). You just have to hear the noises coming from it.
Matt had to pull me out of it - no pics though - shame.
At the moment I have also got ATF leaking out from the rad - good God!
I expect I'll head out there and try them out before summer ends - assuming there's anyone with a truck in one piece to come with me!!!
Apologies for not getting there, but events conspired and the weekend just clashed with too much other stuff - mainly the Upton Blues Festival which I'd already committed to before knowing the date.
