Me too, but we've got over a month yet.

I'll post details of the route tonight and I'll sort out campsites for the Friday night and the Saturday.

      Cheers

We have ideas we plotted in Wales last weekend...

When are you coming down? Wanna spend an evening at Chez Apache and get out for curry and beer? We can convoy down to Wales on the Friday.

Bring your sheddy Fourtrak next year - I dare say we'll be doing it again!

Do we take it that the coach driving job is looking good ?

                    heheheheh

You could stress boyo's cruiser trying to winch out a coach full of pensioners
Look out Eastbourne, the Pandas are coming !

                    • We are booked into Erlwon for the Friday night. We will do the usual BBQ on the Friday night (but you can go into Landovery for a pub meal if you want to).

A lovely place indeed http://www.erwlon.co.uk/ - £5.50 pr person, whether you put up your tent or not.

For the Saturday night, we are booked into Gwerniago Campsite, Pennal (just outside Machynlleth), seems quite nice, haven't been there myself

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/de...asp?revid=6591 - £5.00 per person, whether you put up your tent or not.

I am waiting for the menus off this place, the campsite recommended them. Its nice to have a meal on the Saturday coz we'll be knackered after the off roading. Its a 1 mile walk from the campsite.

                      http://www.riversidehotelpennal.co.uk/

I'll post up a basic route later

                      Cheers

                        Run them over, more like!

We will do a little bit of laning on the Friday evening - I'll see what time peeps are arriving and work something out from that, some of the group may be arriving too late to bother with this though.

                        Saturday (leave Erwlon about 8.30)

                        Crychan Forest
                        Strata Florida
Mountain road to the north of Rhayader
Clearwen Dam and the Rock Garden
                        Stop for lunch
Diff Breaker to the north Of Rhayder
                        Mountain track towards Llangurig
Mountain track through Hafren Forest to Staylittle
                        Glyndwrs Way towards Machynlleth

                        Sunday (leaving Gwerniago by 8.30)

                        Happy Valley SN 666 998
                        B17 towards Arthog

Split the group, Mudsurfer will be leading the 'Northerners' towards The Wayfarer, there's some other lanes he may take you on - see how time goes.

I will lead the 'Southern Softies' back over B17 and Happy Valley. And again, see how we're doing for time, I will pick out some other lanes on the way south.

                        Cheers

                        • inverness seems likely for me....but not till the end of the month, so i may do this trip then hightail it up to start the new job. its on a wastewater site, on behalf of scottish water...money on offer is to good to turn down.
im not going to peru..cash is less per week than the invernes one a day.
still could do some band bus driving through september. dont have to work till end of october, but i think i might get bored
