I just stumbled across it whilst searching some info on green lanes. I don't use green lanes myself, but the website does seem to be very biased one way!!

I guess some of us may have contrary opinions........!!

You betcha.

Horses and carts can also cause considerable damage - especially with carts as thye have far higher point pressure on the narrow metal rimmed wheels.

And I'm not campaigning to stop horses and carts from using greenlanes.

There must be space for all of us with responsible use - it's the irresponsible ones that cause most of the damage and disturbance - and to be honest maybe it's as much our responsibility to campaign for an end to bad use of greenlanes whoever it is by.

I used to be a keen rock climber - the damage caused by some irresponsible people out climbing, throwing rocks, chipping holds, over zealous cleaning etc was also considerable, but no-one tried to ban rock climbing.

what a pack of w*nkers, the lot of the narrow minded fools should be cut into manageable size pieces and used to fill any ruts so us "off-roaders" don,t get stuck.
