i have to pick mark up on the way,but if we are early enough we can both muck in as well.
Thanks Graham, I'll look into that, I see they sell a three pack at r/trax, so do I need three per wheel or what.

It'll be like the pit lane at silverstne.

        • Well, the lift kit and the springs turned up from milners yesterday PM, good service I thought ( hopefully they're the right ones) I got the L/C 80 springs, so I'll bring them to Wales.

I may have to order the gear shift extensions from 4 Crawler, as they just screw on the top of the sticks, and so no cutting/welding is needed. ( Is this really nessecary, does 2" less on the gear sticks make a difference)

          • i haven't adjusted the gear levers on mine Bob and i got a 2" lift.Once the lift has been done you may just need to cut a bit out the hole where the lever comes thru but i would'nt of thought you would need to on a 1.5" b/lift

Word of warning on this - Richard has a 3.0 - when mine was done, there was no need to cut anything to allow travel of the transfer lever, but on the 2.4, I needed to cut a big slot for it to go into.

Check yours, I'll bring some metal cutters along just in case.....

                • mine look like its had an extension welded on to the shift it keeps the shift leaver at the stock hight else it just looks a bit odd all sunken in to the gator! mine was a 3" lift.

                  • Mines only half that, so I should be ok ( hopefully)

Although I might have to get Harley a ramp or sommat, once the rear goes up another 3"

                      • don't forget bob's is manual (it is isn't it?), the majority of us only need to change gear once a journey - i'd be tempted by the extensions i think.

                        • Aye, mines a manual, and the extensions are about £25 per pair + shipping, which does seem dear for a couple of bits of metal, but it saves cutting and welding the sticks, which is better for doing it whilst camping.

I'm only going 1 1/2" body lift, and 3" suspension, at the rear, and I,m not sure about the front until I see how it looks, and will probably put BJ spacers on within the next couple of months anyway.

                          • IMPORTANT NEWS FLASH!

Guys, we have a long days driving on the Saturday. So rather than head for a grid reference (supplied by my mate) and have no idea what that mountain is (rough camp) actually like, how about this

We stay here for the Saturday

                            http://www.woodlandsdevilsbridge.co.uk/touring.html

it looks stunning and would be some welcome luxury after a hard days driving

Its £9.50 per 2 people with tent and truck.

I've provisionally booked it but they want a definite answer ASAP.
