hardly been any rain here mate, could be a bit dry.
Most of the good lanes round here have been filled with type 1, but i haven't done a lot of the lanes i've got planned before at all so who knows what we might find.
Did the pilgrims way last christmas and that's surfaced pretty much all the way along, but it's still gotta be better driving that between some of the lanes than belting up the a20. I ran one of the lanes i've got planned for the afternoon if we get time a few weeks ago and bar a muddy puddle or two there was virtually no mud, still a nice lane though if you ask me.=========

Bluetongue
guys we could be buggered on this. http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/dise...czpz171007.pdf .
I have put a post up in general (http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/forums/sh...146#post356146) to find out more information. I'm not exactly sure what the control and protection zones mean, but it could be prudent to stay away even if we are 'allowed' to go laning still. As you can see the control zone covers most if not all of Kent. Some of the lanes i had planned aren't that far from the affected farm which is somewhere around Boughton Lees. I will endeavour to find out what the situation is, but please keep an eye on both here and on the other thread, and if you know anymore than me please share it.
Any ideas on alternatives if we can't do this run?=========

In light of the current situaton i have taken the decision to postpone sundays laning.
Although i know 4x4s aren't capable of spreading the Bluetongue virus, i feel that in light of the recent foot and mouth outbreaks, and now this, we would do greenlaning in general more harm than good if we were to be seen out in the affected areas and subsequently further cases were to be reported.
Bures http://www.driverite.co.uk/ may be an alternative, but i simply can't afford to travel that far at the moment.
Sorry Guys, hope you don't mind me taking this decision.

No worries mate, probably for the best, I wouldn't want to give the anti's any ammo just for the sake of waiting a couple of months.
I'm off to Wales with some guys from C.O.R.E. 9th & 10th November, we have a couple of place's left if your up for it.

Trip resurection - when is good?
Trip resurrection - when is good?
New people that weren't gonna come before welcome too, but will try and accomodate the originals first date wise.
I did a lot of the lanes yesterday on a joint Kent Laning Association / Kent Offroad Club / POCUK trip all the lanes were easy, but a few were very scratchy.
I did feel guilty going out to do these lanes without inviting you guys, but postponed before as it was right at the start of the bluetongue outbreak and there wasn't much information or advice to go on regarding laning. It was my first trip out with the above clubs since joining both KORC and KLASS and as it's on my doorstep and i knew most of the lanes it was a good one to go on to meet some of there members.
I'm still happy to run either the same route, which was a nice route with some good views, although a lot of the driving was less than thrilling, or try some other lanes around the same area.
Your thoughts please guys=========
