Nah.. I like the local garage... no cleaning the drive afterwards...Originally posted by kitesurf_philDid you get a pressure washer for Christmas, Linda?
Actually, I thought I was in trouble last time as the manager came out and stood watching me as I hosed 2 tons of mud onto his forecourt... Fortunately he'd just come over to ask about the surf... He was well impressed (especially since the camera was still in the car with Pics from our day out). Turns out he used to have a l*** rover and is looking for a new 4x4... He said hes gonna go test drive a surf now...

ONLY IF YOU OPEN THE DOORSOriginally posted by wibblywobblyDo the Surfs leak in deep water. I only ask because I well remember a friend driving his RungeRaver through a river, and sitting in water up to his waist whilst doing so? The motor was still running though....all the way to the middle!!
Cheers

SUGGEST YOU STICK HOSE PIPE TO YOUR MOTOR around the doors and may give you indication how good your door rubbers are, then you got the engine bay holes into car to look at too.Originally posted by popbriscoeONLY IF YOU OPEN THE DOORS

My rear passenger doors leaked a tiny amount at Norfolk - just enough to wet the edge of the carpet. Not really a problem though!Originally posted by wibblywobblyDo the Surfs leak in deep water. Mine never leaked at norfolk but I did get a very small amount of leakage at Reading and the water was way deeper for longer at Norfolk and I stood still in it for quite a while.Originally posted by wibblywobblyDo the Surfs leak in deep water. Having now checked it all out I think it was down to some muck caught in the rubber seals, so If on inspection all the rubber seals look in good nick and are clean you should be OK.Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.
