Pulled it out cleaned the injectors and drove it away. Lucky the lady drove it in the pit and did not try to reverse. So it did not take on board any sluge. Well not in the engine. The carpet had a bit of a damp patch on it where the husband opened the door. lol
When I first looked at the thumbnail I didn't know what the motor was. I thought, "!!!!!! hell, the bonnet and front wings are completely under water!"
A good day had by all? I was too ill, according to Mrs KS, to go to the Pit as a spectator or to do any work on "The Tin Thing," as she calls it. (I have a rotten cold and knackered elbow) I was, however, deemed fit enough to cut the front/back grass, strim, weed, hoe and tidy. Indoors I was fit enough to sort out a kitchen cupboard door that had dropped.
Needless to say, that after all the above, I just had to go and do an hour on "The Tin Thing." It was a matter of principle.
Hormygollop trailer was broken so he came along with CTA and the buggy . That had clutch trouble and the starter was full of mud . The carb then played up .
I got stuck with our Zook with no tread on rear tyres so no grip , clutch slipping and no alternator charging . then the engine lost all go go from the elastic band .
Koi rescued both of us in his pick up .
Mitsi was fun to watch . Hubby had had 1/2 hour driver training and shown where to go and where not to . Wifey drives straight into the pond .

A few more pics, including another recovery of a broken elastic band casualty, a rolled suzi, a wish i hadn't eaten that last cake or i could get in here.
How not to recover a panda, landy says I'll tow you out, so drives half way down slope puts brakes on and slides into bloke knocking him out the way then slams into the front of the panda and smashes the front headlight.
Another landy playing i wonder how deep this hole is
Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.

I have been looking at some Aussie web sites and have made a "nappy" for The Tin Thing. It's basically a tarpaulin sheet that goes from the top of the radiator grille (presuming the rad has been moved to the back) and under the front of the truck and fixes to the crossmember under your feet. It apparantly keeps loads of crap out of the clutch, alternator etc. Time will tell!
