I'm up for it, I have seen a load of your guys photos and it looks like an amazing place. I've not done much off roading and can't afford to break anything so I might take it easy on the day... will be good to see if my truck does what its meant to though. I have driven through Bala a few times, is it near the town?

Hi mate, aye it's about 2 miles from the town centre car park, which is were most meet up before heading in (usually for a pee and a coffee)
Don't worry about breaking your truck, nobody would expect you to drive it into or over anything you don't want too, the site has tracks around it that you could drive a family saloon over... and then there are far more challenging ones
That said my first time there I took it really easy tip-toed around really; but as the day wore on I became more confident about what my truck could do, on worn road tyres and no mods at all. I was very supprised at what a standard Surf can do. In the end I got it proper dirty hehe, most damage I've had so far is rear fog lamp destroyed (that's popping your cherry hehe ) and a slight dent on the sills, and I've been over a _lot_ more as time as gone on.
More the merrier, the socialising and cups of tea together is fun too.
