Kill a Suzi , I tried all day and failed !!
The Vagrant Catering Co. vehicle was not really supposed to survive the day but did !! .
I eased off when it would not die . We might use it again .
Not bad for a spare parts donor vehicle .
PS , Sorry Jenny for the washing , it was my fault the mud ended up inside the Suzi , and then on Jotto and the kids clothes . I tried to help Em's out a mud hole/lake

            Damage spotted so far :

Dent and hole in off side rear crome end bumper , where i recovered a sharp axe like stone from ( now a paper weight )

My exhaust looks just like jasons , but hole is a bit smaller ( made for some interesting noises going home ! )

            Rear mud guard hanging off

Cover for Aircon Fans underneath ( i think thats what it is ) Dented and full of rocks

Antiroll bar broken away from Chassis

I hope that you can rebuild the Suzi, Rick!

Jason I trust it was not too painfull breaking your duck today at the Pit, it is infectious, but everyone looks after you so well.

                Faces

Thanks to Koi for yet another great day.
Also thanks to Keith for supplying the pressure washer. Great stuff.

Well done Jason. After one ride around the pit he went in at the deep end and lost his cherry (not salvageable ) unlike his mud flap.

                  HOW TO KILL A SUZI

If you must know here's how.
                  You will need 1 sj410.
                  1 dodgy engin
                  A mad wife
2 x teenagers who want to have a go
                  and ME
1 Drive it from Felixstowe to the pit.
2 Thrash it about all day and then drown it
                  3 Leave to dry out.
4 Give it another thashing and try to make it fly
5 Attempt to drive it home again.

Drive at 55mph watching the BLUE smoke out of the exhaust and hope you will get home.
                  RESULT = 1 DEAD SUZI

                              Yup
The lever only selects high or low, and there should be a functioning switch on the dash for selecting 4WD !! this is one of the replys from a daihatsu forum
Opps, didnt think of that. When you mentioned 84/85?? I pictured the same deal as mine, Transfer lever goes from 2H-4H-N-4L. Later transfer cases had a push button 4wd engaugement button on the dash. It worked through vacuum or electric solinoids to activate 4H, then lever on case to activate 4L. What does your transfer case knob say, 2H-4H-N-4l, or 2H-N-4L. If the latter, then you have the solinods, and perhaps it is one of these that is crook. Yours may have been retrofited with a later box. Others on this board will have knowledge of testing and repairing these transfer cases. I have never played with one personally. Apologies for the run around b4.

Need to check the vac switches and this elusive dash switch
