Havent had a look yet cause its too scary. But the big bang the plume of smoke and the engine management shutting the engine down point towards something serious. My first thought was that a leg had come out the side but I couldn't realy see. I left a nice puddle of oil on the forecourt of Eashey services. Hehe. To cold to take the engine out at the mo might get the pressure waher out later.

        (Mmmmm V8)

Did hear a slight knock from your engine yesterday but not serious . I thought it might have been a worn/cracked camshaft follower .
Hope all turns out alright .

Bad luck mate the old girl done us proud. She breezed up that hill that the old landy bobtail give up on. You, me and the young navigator. Tell me your not grinning. So are you looking for a V8?.
I think we all had a good day.Dont know about you but I picked a lot of brains, good food and good company.

              All the best

Think the V8 might take a bit long but I have found a 3 litre engine. Just waiting on a price, plus going to a manual box(we'll see about going up hills I couldn't nigel, Hehe) too depending on price.

I think the owner of the donor vehicle must be sad its quite well squished.

If you are looking for a V8 there are a couple of them for sale in the back of total off road - one is a 6.2 Diesel out of a Dayvan (GM motor) connects up to a TH350 auto box. That would be a monster but you would definately need uprated front torsion bars. Think £500 should see you an engine and gearbox.

                  Cheers
