  • Good News For Langdale

    Hot NEWS - Thursday 10th November 2005
Today at 11.15am our Langdale Quest became the first and only off-road driving centre in the UK to be granted Full & Permanent planning permission within a National Park. Committee members were unanimous in their decision, members wanted to congratulate the applicant (LQ) in its professional approach in presenting what was such a controversial application.

This decision has now ensured the future of the Langdale Quest & the activities it provides for its customers. LQ staff would like to reassure ALL customers that the site is OPEN as normal & bookings can be made in the normal way.

Marky, that is excellent news... a small battle won, there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

You could almost say, "that's mud in your eye!"

Have Langdale hinted that they might help other sites with their petitions?

'Cos if they have the right way to do it... it wouldn't do any harm...

Actually the only problems that the campsite had with us are
            1. NOISY 2. Driving to the LOO (lazy gits) 3. Driving too fast
A few weeks later some idiots in 4x4's decided to offroad on the Grass Verges making complete prats of themselves as they got STUCK.
They have since been BANNED. All in all we were well Behaved & are welcome back there again.

I know we weren't that bad. I think the worst damage we did was when we helped other people off who were stuck with their 2wd/heavy caravan combos. The camping area was a bit of a quagmire before we arrived.

There is a lot of CLAY under the grass so it does'nt drain very well.
