Gerrads Cross, can i pitch up any day?

After having my surf 3 weeks its now time to take it off road. I live 10 minutes from Gerrads cross and am wondering when this place is available to use? Do they have certain days etc?

Any help appreciated.

Also has anyone fitted an aftermarket stereo into their surf? Im having ridiculous quotes for a dvd player installation as they say there is an built in amplifier which needs to be bypassed? Any ideas where it is? Or any stereo installers want the job?

I would certainly think someone must have done this before , try using the search facility.

Managed to fit the stereo, took the day off and it was well worth it.
Any more info on Gerrads cross?

No , not there Dave . A couple of years ago some of us went to a meet at Geralds Cross not to far from me . I think it was orginised by Thames Valley 4x4 . Did not have a 4x4 then so did not go round much apart from Koi giving us a ride .

It is open more then once a year , I just have not found out when it opens more often .
I can see the site when I drive up the M40 , and often see 4x4's driving on the site , so it is open more then once a year .

If you only live 10 mins away , why don't you go in there and find out ? Would imagine open fairly regularly knowing how people love to get dirty....

Nope, its just a locked gate on a dirt track. No one in last Sunday, Devils Pit this sunday.
