  • Any sites that allow camping etc?

Heres a question: Are there any off road sites out there that allow both 4x4 and motocross and weekend visits including camping with fires and stuff like that?

I know (and frequent) Toms Farm in Wales but what with the rumours (and confirmation from Tom) that he could be shut down soon I wanted to know if there are any alternatives.

Getting fed up with this country - my last play site was closed down, already very few open greenlanes and now my current play site seems like its under threat. My next plan is to look at buying my own bit of land if I can find somewhere suitable.

Thanks but really after sites where I can go with a load of mates for a long weekend with free-roam 4x4 & motocross during the day and beers and BBQ at night.

I know of a few regular 4x4 day sites both near and far and although they can be fun its not really what I enjoy most (plus I want to be able to use my bike too).

Not sure about bikes (you'd have to ask the organisers before taking one) but the last Avon Dassett campout was pretty much a 'beer BBQ & bonfire' thing (at least three good blazes going).

Not sure when/if there is another campout soon, keep an eye on this link:

there isnt a web site as such but if you want to see what the place is like take a look at the Norfolk video on our home page.
I assume John allows camping over night because when we were there last year he was telling me that the Suzuki crowd (whoever they are) stay all weekend. The only thing he is dos'nt allow is unsilenced vehicles, but you would have to check with him just in case there is anything else.
I have booked it for sunday 2 oct for our annual visit but I could be persuaded to go along if earlier date was arranged. Its justin october the vegatation will be lower and the river might be higher.
drop John an e-mail and he will let you have all the rules etc.
