It is Triumph . I found the time last Sunday to refit the engine back in Tam's Herald . It's been 'off road' for 6 months while I fitted a new crank , bearings etc .
Now I am off to finish fitting rad , dizzy etc as see if it starts .

The Lotus still needs a little work though .

She be a runner ! Cranked up the oil pressure and fuel pump and let her fire . Went first go .

Been out for a drive and all seems fine .

wish i had the time to do up my 65 spitfire, but even if i had we,d be away to Canada soon after, so i wouldn,t have time to enjoy it, (too expensive and impractical to ship it over there), so unfortunately it looks like its going to be broke for spares, owned since 1984, bin with me longer than the wife n kids, but never mind i got my surf and when we go to Canada i,ll get another one, well 4-runner over there i believe.

Iv'e had the Lotus longer then Tam , and its less hassle !
Shame your a fair trot away as we could deal on the Spitty .

I hade a '74 GT6 before Lotus and thats why I got the Herald aswell because the Triumphs are great , cheap fun . Plus Tam likes Heralds also so we both are happy .
