        Looking good Tony . Are you running the same engine and box as before or are you fitting the newly purchased engine and box ? . Gas again ?

        Looks like some familiar tube in the background .

          Its the same engine, but gonna run on petrol now. The new engine/box is for the grey surf and will run the gas set up as it'll be the road legal truck.

            Is it not possible to use the Toyota gearbox with the Rover lump . I am sure you mentioned a bell housing conveter you had .

              Sure, but early 5 speed pickup 'box's go to pieces with a Rover V8 hooked up to them, and clutch plate shock rubbers did'nt last long either! Not sure if the Milner bellhousing adapter will fit a Surf manual box, but will find out shortly, the 'box must be stronger, as 4Runner V6 puts out nearly the same HP as a stock carbed V8, but not sure how it will take a 'built' V8.

                  He hasnt started on the surf yet... he's still working on putting pickup back together... Don't worry there will be lots of pics when it gets going properly!!
