stainless
Looks nice..
Is the whole unit stainless though? ive had experiences with companies like this before and they sometimes (permazaust in this case) are not as they seem.
The warranty only covers holes, and what happens is the baffle tubes and seperator walls are mild steel, and therfore rot. Sometimes causing a blockage and in the event of a vehicle with a cat can cause considerable damage, especialy if the cat is still the original ceramic unit.
The warranty is got round still however due to the "holes" only warranty. The insides of the boxes are collapsed and it sounds like a tank but theres no holes...
Becarefull!! stainless is also very brittle and shears without warning if stressed enough..
all just an observed opinion you understand...

Well I bit the bullet and had a 2 1/2 inch stainless system fitted to my 3rd gen 3.0lt kzn185. Hand built for only £287 + the vodka and tonic.
Its a powerflow system done for me at Burnley at Top Gear but they are nationwide ( see here, http://www.powerflow.uk.com/dealers.asp).
They started on it at 10:30 and it was ready for 13:10, so I did a very quick 235 mile test, mainly motorway but also a few quick light set offs, just to see if there is any differance to the acceleration and ------
YES, it does make a differance to the pick up speed.
My only problem now is, due to my request for the exit point to be behind the offside rear wheel, it now catches and rubs on the chassis, I will have to go back for them to tweak it a little on monday.
Next on the agenda will be a 2" lift and superchipping the beastie.
Anybody on here know of a good super chip company in the north west?

After having this mod now for a couple of weeks the main differances noticed are:-
A, better pick up from standing start (0 - 60 aprox 10% quicker).
II, better cruising at speed on the motorway, just seems easier cruising at 80/85.
3. better acceleration from 55/60 for overtaking on the motorway up to 75.
D. no more fumes coming in from the rear window when open as the tail pipe exits behind the wheel arch.
V. the look on peebs faces when it launches from the lights with a loud growl.
If there is only one improvement you can stretch too then this one has got to be value for money if its performance boost your after!!!!!
Over the next couple of weeks I will fit the lift kit recently purchased and will be looking into the cost of a nitro kit, as I havent yet heard back from rally equip about chipping and intercooling. This baby will fly when I'm finished!

1.5" lift kit arrived too, trouble is I'm buggered if I have the time to fit or any instruction to fitting it.
Next time you see the car, if it has a 3" rise on one side and is standard on the other side, you know I got it wrong!!!!!
