    2" lift

Hi bushwhacker, I've just taken delivery of the roughtrax 2" lift kit, hoping to fit it this weekend! Will I need one of your kits to keep it all centralised? If so can I PLEASE purchase one?

Really don't get people asking for favours using insults. What do they expect to get? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same way they are for all the other sites i use? advertising and donations, i support other sites, but i never HAD to support them to be able to use them fully, other than one that wouldn't let you sell stuff without joining an owners club.

I'll check out the link and see if I can afford to pay.

I think the answer should have been "oops sorry didn't realise, how do I subscribe?"

The use of smilies to convey an emotion helps too, but I think calling anything stupid is rarely the answer.

Being able to PM opens up a whole new world of possibilities.

Or it could be noted that the fact you cannot PM until you pay isn't very clear and it might indicate some clarification is needed about what you can and cannot do as a free member.

I've been in IT on and off since '98 and am an experienced web user so if I didn't notice it really could be a design issue.

The only usual limit on PMs is that you must have made a certain amount of posts on a forum, so not being able to find the PM button and also not having a clear indication of why, is infuriating and annoying.

I have no problem with supporting sites I find enjoyable and useful (as evidenced by my recent subscription) with cash, photos, articles and any knowledge I may have picked up over the years.

However if certain site functions are going to be restricted to paying members it maybe needs to be made clearer.

As i say, i didn't know you had to pay to PM, the fact you do is fair enough, but the fact i spent five minutes looking for a way to PM someone and got annoyed instead because its unusual points to a problem.

Personally what I would do is add the PM button in, but make it link to the subscription area with a message saying,

"Service only available to site supporters"

                                Yep.
or you could just ignore everything that has been mentioned and carry on as before, btw being an experienced IT professional hasn't helped you find the "subs" page or even the "FAQ" page in the six years or so since you joined....

seeing as there isn't a "shakes head and walks away smilie" I just did.
