  • 4 minute tyre mod!

The writing on my wheels had gone dull and yellow, So I got one of those liquid chalk pens and went over it, If you get the large pen with the big square flat end then it literally takes 1 minute a wheel, far easier than tipex

    Before (except A + Y!)

    After

    Like new!

    Shame the tyres are crap.

No offence, I have the same ones on mine at the minute & find them too noisey & skittish in wet & dry.

Can't wait to get my new grabbers or I may push the boat out & go for BFG's.
If its not broke don't fix it.

I find them alright, the previous owner had them fitted, and with only two months use they are going to last me a while!

I don't race, I just cruise like I'm king of the road!

That said, I only have to slow down by 10mph/15mph on the corners compared to my Vectra.

Whats the going rate for some BFG's then?

        BFG's are about £150 a corner & GG A/T 2's around £125.

Yours/ours are about £75 & believe me if you had one of the other tyres on your truck it would feel & sound totally different.
If its not broke don't fix it.

I got a set of the runway road tyre when I got my first surf & managed nearly 50,000 "no bull" so they arn't bad & you will probably get near that out of your A/T's so budget wise you can't go wrong.

I've never been a fan of white lettering and prefer to keep it on the inside. My latest tyre mod is subtle. 32's to 33's. I wanted to hold out for 35's or change to 315/75/16, but these were such a good deal that I couldn't resist.

P.S. I'm still looking for one for these wheels as a matching spare. I'd even buy a full set.

If you are referring to post 10 they are 33x13.5 on 15x10 rims

That I was. I have very similar wheels but they are 15x12, too much stretch and poke. Just trying to see what width I should go with, 8 or 10. 10 looks ideal.

No need to buy chalk pens or use tippex, it'll all crack or peel eventually.

All you need is a rag, some WD40 and elbow grease, just make sure you rinse the tyre well afterwards. Works wonders on the letters on my Charger tyres

If you are very neat in your application, Wonder Wheels brings them back to bright white straight away...
