  • Who wants a stainless snorkel?

    Just making a general enquiry.

I am planning one. Originally I was going to buy it in section's but I think it will work out cheaper and look better if I can get one made entirely from one straight length.

Currently on the hunt for a bender or someone that can do it for me.

You will struggle to form tube of that sort of diametre. Far easier to buy preformed bends, weld up, and polish out the welds.

I will have a go at it. I priced up preformed bends etc and it worked out quite expensive. Plus there is more work involved. I wouldn't find the angle I need for the bonnet to pillar join anyway. I will bend what I can and buy a couple of 90 bends if I need to.

Homemade snorkels generally look cheap and silly IMHO.

I've got a stainless pipe snorkle running up the A pillar. I welded up an sealed the box section structural member in the front wing with a stub either end with flexi pipe connecting the air box and snorkle together.
Hold my beer and watch this
