  • uprated rear shocks

just a quick one. as i did the sas on the front, the front went up another 2" so in all the rear has 4" lift. (2" spacers and 2" suspension). the shocks on the back which were +2" but with the extra lift the shocks were fully extended at standing! so got rancho 5114s, however you cant get the top fitment that fits the rear shock mount so had to do a bit of modding! ;D

as you can see the new rancho is much bigger and with the modded fitment on

with / without the mod fitment

    fitted

didnt want to weld anything as it PITA arch welding in tight places and easy to take off etc

Ideal Danny, it was good to hear from you yesterday pal I will take trip south when I get my latest scrap finished. The Three sisters sounds good, been a couple of years since I spent a weekend in Wales.

You need to get links to all your mods in one thread for the benefit of new lads.
SAS, 4.0 quad cam, on board air as well as the normal lift mods. That's an impressive list on one truck mucker.

yeah good to catch up! thanks for the big up but it was a team effort think i would still be wiring the engine up if not for the help of the forums

having a headache with NPT and BSP fittings! as the viair tank is in NPT and dont know what the A/C pump is! need to get it to BSP fitting as easier to source in the UK

yeah could sort something out for may but will give you a shout closer the time!

          keep up the good modding

Nice little innovation, there, Dan. Love all your modifications. Don't forget, the paint on those Ranchos is crap. they'll be rusty in no time. Mine were a mess after about 8 weeks. A liberal coating of white smooth Hammerite, methinks. .
