  • Questions about Body Lift On My Surf

So i have a 1989 Surf 2.4 SSR Limited. I have recently been thinking of doing a 2" - 3" body lift on it with lift blocks for some more clearance.

I'd obviously need the blocks and longer bolts but is it really that easy?

Like is all i need to do is unbolt the body from the chassis and slip the blocks in and i'm golden?

Do i really need to extend the shifter and drop the rad a bit?

Any help and suggestions would be great

    Thanks in advance

3" is way more involved, extend fuel filler pipe, brake hoses, steering column, etc. 2", just fit the blocks, lift front bumper back up and drop the rad, as far as I can tell. I've been researching it for a little while now.

Someone that knows WAY more than me will be along shortly to help and the SEARCH button has a world of knowledge on the subject.

Yes Fingers is spot on, also loosen the steering rack a little during the lift then TIGHTEN BACK UP. I think the auto is fine and doesn't need changing, I changed my manual, welded a 2" pc in. The transfer lever is fine as is ... 3" is a diff story.
