Finaly ready to do my lift
after the problems ive had with surf this week its off road and time to get bits done few questions though

fantastic information about the 3 main ways but unsure on best way.

    http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=18

the landcruiser idea seems to bring up the surf the highest but seems more expensive then the kits form routhtrax.
are the kits from routhtrax complete would i need anything else?

if not what do i actualy need for the landcruiser lift.
    1: landcruiser springs = £55
    2: rear shocks 2" = £37.50 ea = £75
    3: alloy seat for springs = £135
4: uprated torshion bar = £170 or ball joint spacers?

    sure there is more thats £435 + %20 = £522

Next body lift = safe at 2" Aloy or Teflon blox?

What is your main reason for fitting the lift parts, looks or articulation?

Well you don't need the uprated torsion bars unless you're going to be using your truck to jump over things, balljoint spacers (4Crawler) are better and you keep the comfortable ride. You could order the spring seats at the same time to save money.
Type Xpajun into google for the boylift kit.

Oh and it's Roughtrax bu the way.

Arg wat a night just had to run my 9mnth old boy into A&E :'(

          But Perfect
so all in all a better and cheaper solution with the landcruiser option?

          2" ball joint spacers
          Rear spring seats
          3" springs from landcruiser
          2" shocks from roughtrax
          3" braided brake lines
          2" body lift with bolts

Anything else to add to my list of bits to order over the next few days?
also any problems anyone is aware with or does anyone know anything about this

3.0L V6 4Runners may have problems at 3" with the stock engine air intake, modifications will be needed

            Don't do a 3" body lift then.

it means 3" over BODY lift will cause intake issues.

Lifted my 4-runner here in sweden 3 weeks ago with a 2" bodylift from xpajun, pretty easy took about 3 hours.
Now doing 4-5" inch chassi lift from roughcountry to, with some problems with americans usual sloppy making of parts

Had bfg m/t 33" last year with no lift and it was not that far of...
I don`t think you need more than 3" inches of lift to clear 33" but that depends alot on the rims...

Pics of the 33" on my 4runner.

If you are on a budget the above are not needed.
                      Nor are the spring seats.
35s will make the gearing a little long IMO you coul fit 2.4 diffs front and rear to regain a bit.

                          just ordered 3" Body lift.

Working on my brake lines now 3" extended. got to change my back brakes anyway they are sitting on my desk

Going to do the 3" lift next week hopefully minimal problems cant be withought the car so if i run into problems will have to undo what ive done and use the car until parts turn up.

Going to do 2" BJ Spacers on front with 1" Torshion bar wind up
with LC Springs on back with seats.

I got the Cad for the Panhard drop there is a good place round here does all that kind of stuff going to see if they can put one together for me.

not going to bother with the Radiator drop as ive had to fit electric fan anyway. going to find a silicon pipe for radiator with Sensor fitting in just ordered Heat sensore off a calibra. hopefully matt will get me some CV boots on sunday and truck will start to get some Character.
