  • Fitting Bull Bar. Please help!

    Hi All

    I have a 1991 V6 Petrol with a 4" Lift.

I bought Bull Bars from ebay and was advised that they will fit.

Can anyone tell me if this is an easy thing to fit?

I've attached pics for reference of my truck and the bars.

Do I just undo the bolts?

    Thanks

    Graham

They should bolt on like this, not great pics it's dark out, street light is out, so had to guess where I was pointing the camera oO

I'll try and get a better pic in the morning.

If any of the 4" lift is a body lift, you will need to make brackets or the bar will sit very low.

IMHO, the standard A bar looks better after a 2" lift, as the top bar sits in line with the bumper. Lets be honest, it never sat very high in the first place, so a 2" drop doesn't make much difference, in fact, if anything improves airfolw to the rad, which can't be a bad thing.
See pics before and after lift.

Let's be honest, it will make a 2" differance.

I do however agree it matters not a jot, as they look shit no matter what height they are fitted at.

You often find people leave the brackets on the truck when removing the A Bars, there should be a L shaped bracket that bolts to the bottom of the chassis rails, then the bar bolts to these.

I don't see them in your pics.

I have some if you need them.

                  Yeah 2" body.

I've been back out this morning to try and the bars just don't seem to fit. I've attached a picture of where they look to go but if I try and put the here they will interfere with the steering.

Have I got the right bull bars or is there a different gen I need to look for.

                  Do I need brackets?

Sorry for being a complete idiot

                  Thanks

Morning, went out in the daylight , seems your missing the drop-brackets that sit under the chassis, the bar then bolts onto these,.

                      Apparently so....

£20 gets you the missing parts, and all bolts needed.

                        Yes

If I can buy them that would be great, do you have a spare set.

                        I can pay through PayPal

                        Thanks

Yeah, I have a few sets off breaker trucks, like I said, people leave them on when removing the A-bar.

Do you have a recovery hook on the front? They go under them, so I need to get you longer bolts if you have one, or shorter ones if you don't.

Paypal me on toyotatony@hotmail.com, add your address in the comments box and I'll post them tomorrow.

I've sent the money and details. Don't have a hook so shorter bolts.

                            Much appreciated
