Its blowing the right way. £15 to change over and 30p to use the credit card

I've been with Churchill for yrs, and this yr, although NOT cheap, was by far the cheapest for the truck.

I rung and told em i'd done the 2" body and 2" sus and put 33" tyres on, and there was no extra charge, not a penny! Was crapping it, expecting 'em to say that it was "just another £150" or something.

Yes, make sure you declare everything. If there's any way of them getting out of paying out, should you need it, they will!

Insurance Co's don't seem to find offroad mods to 4x4's, I've never paid more for a lifted truck.

Some want a engineer to sign of the mods as safe, but thats the most.

Frank Pickles insurance quotes seem to come down the more mods you have.

Just make sure when insuring your trucks and all mods done that the com plete mods are also covered old for new.A lot of insurance companies just want to know about the mods but will not actually cover them.So in the worse case scenereo you will just get the price of a standard truck back without the mods

I just told direct line that I am planning on doing a 2" suspension lift and they told me it would be an extra £360 - can that be right?

We have just insured my wife's new surf with them as well - maybe the next step is telling them we will be cancelling the insurance on both vehicles.

I am with Direct Line, that would double my premium for just an extra 2". (There's a joke in there somewhere). Seems a bit mad. I'd move.

I was thinking about insurance companies and their "Anything that makes the vehicle more attractive to thieves..." line. Well, what about washing it? Unless you are a mudplugger or pig, it surely looks more attractive after washing than being covered in sh*te?

Direct line dont like cancelling, when i changed from a bmw to a cherokee they wanted some ridiculous amount of money to insure it so i cancelled and they sent me a bill for something in the region of £350 with some drivel about cancellation fees, i ignored them, eventually the bayliffs were put on the case, i didn`t pay but fought them off with the help of these

If you`ve got the leeches on your case they`ll help, its surprising what a £1 postal order along with a letter telling them you want to see the credit agrrement you signed can do, haven`t heard from them for almost four years and after four years most debts are statute barred (you dont have to pay them)
