  • Suspension lift questions

    Hello!

Just baught a 4runner 1992 in very good condition in sweden were I am located.

Have kumho kl71 33x12.50x15 on blackspoke laying around since my last pajero

I`ve been looking around for suspension lifts, the question that I am asking is:

Either buying a complete 4-5" suspension kit with lowering the front crossmembers etc or buying the hdj80 rear springs, bj spacers, 4 new shocks etc

Wouldn`t it be as expensive buying all parts around as getting a kit right away or what suggestions do you have for me.

    Thanks!

    /Erik

you could do a 2" suspension lift and a 2" body lift that will give you 4" of lift and should be able to get the tyres on the surf! there are write ups on both mods on here and on the aussie site so you could do it yourself fairly easily!

I was also going for a 2" bodylift to get 6" lift for the looks of it

Do anyone on here know a site were you can purchase all parts for a hdj80 rear conversion at the same place? Because of the shipping prices I would like
to get as much from one place as possible...

BJ spacers will not get you a 4" suspension lift at the front. If you want 6" total lift then buy the bracket lift kit. I'd try summitracing.com in the USA for a good price.

It doesn't have the drop brackets at the rear that the procomp and superlift kits have. If the shipping is cheap enough it's still a pretty good deal.

Yep, and I bet their public services still function better than ours do in the middle of summer.

Yes, at least this winter seems to be a good one

The public services are ok, I live on the large island outside sweden called Gotland, and we normally don`t get that much winter except for this one it seems...

The superlift and procomp lift kits have brackets that space the upper control arms 4" above the axle and the lower control arms 4" below the front mount on the chassis.

The Rough Country one includes modified upper arms that I -think- have the central rod that joins the 2 bushes moved up so it clears the fuel tank.

The original upper control arm top, modified one bottom.

Getting really tired of getting anyone from usa to send parts, they refuse selling stuff outside the states...

Do anyone here know of a place in gb that sells 4-5 inch lift kits?
Need one now, new tires i the garage, and can not be fitted until the 4runner is lifted
