  • Load area lighting

    Hi Everyone

Not sure if I've put this in the right section, or even if anybody's interested but here go's!!

All the time I've had my surf I always thought the lighting in the cargo area was inadequate. I managed to find some LED lightstrips on the usual computer based auction site and this is how they turned out. The pics below show the standard fitment light against the Led strips. I appreciate that in the pics of the standard light the tailgate is not open but unfortunately because of the way I've wired them, I cant open it without the led's coming on!!! All in, the mod cost me about £15 so was well pleased.
Apologies in advance for the crappy photo's as I'm as much use with camera's and computers, as a one legged man is in an arse kicking contest!!!
    All the best
    S.

          Excellent!
Would be handy to have the item number for the lights though.

Didn't feel the need to be able to switch them on independently so wired it direct from the original light so when you open the tailgate they come on /off.

              - dont seem to do the one's I fitted anymore-strange . Dare say you could find something very similar online somewhere. If I do, I'll let you know.

Hi. Gotta take one of the side panels out soon cos I had trouble getting a suitable glue to stick em in place. When I do, I'll do another "thread" showing how I measured, marked, drilled, glued and wired the lights in place.

              Hope this helps
