  • Front torsion bars

If I was to Suspension Lift my truck 2" do i need uprated torsion bars or will the standard ones wind up that far? I know I need bigger rear springs or spacers (probably new springs)

I was under the impression you could get away with winding up the bars (with wheels lifted off ground) to gain two inches.

1.5"is really the max to wind the t/bars up.Any more than that you will get excessive cv wear. You can keep the standard t/bars aswell

the Roughtrax 2" lift kit only has bigger springs/torsion bars and shocks I was just wondering if the torsion bars were worth the cost - do you need to lower the front diff then?

To be honest i wouldn't bother with torsion bars.Spend the extra money on ball joint spacers that will give you the 2" front end lift.Either then fit free wheeling hubs or 1"diff drop spacers

Where would I get some of those from then?

I'm with Direct Line as I was with them when I bought my surf and just switched my insurance over - will look at Adrian Flux next time.
