any particular reason you have gone for a Patrol? did you consider other trucks and if so, which ones, and why did you discount them?

    Looking like a fun project.

I want to give up work, buy a big place with a double garage and a pit, and be able to learn to do trucks up.... dream on.

simple really, the organisers put a blanket ban on all toyota products,we even toyed with using a vw taro, just to #### them off,but after we had gone through every 4x4 we could think off the only thing that was big enough and tough enough was the old nissan patrol,we wanted a vehicle without any ecu,s and one that wouldnt break every five mins,so that was every land rover product out of the door.

You seem to have let the rubberising go off before you put the sand on it...
