  • Stock height of 2nd Gen

After some hard travelling I had to replace my rear springs as the old ones were finished. I got local uprated springs here in Kenya and I was just wondering how much my 2nd gen has been lifted.

I took out a measuring tape and measured 35" between the bottom of the wheel arch and the ground. I have 31" tyres on the truck - could anyone out there with stock suspension do me a favour and take the same measurement?

    Many thanks,
    S.h.

you need to measure the gap from the underside of the wheelarch to the top of the rim of the wheel and standard height is about 13.5"

Unless he has 16 or 17" rims

Better to measure from hub centre to under arch that way tyre or or wheel size don't matter

thats true but i was going by he said he has 31" tyres but the way you say would be more accurate tho but i don't know off hand what the measurement should be on standard

I have the standard 15" alloys most 2nd gens seem to have, sorry for forgetting to mention that!

Thanks for the helpful replies as always, will remeasure it when I go home!

Found this thread by forum search

Can anyone tell me the stock height of the front? I would like to lift mine this weekend and would like to gauge how much. I'm guessing it would not be exactly the same as the rear.
            Oh Nana, what's my name?

Sounds silly, but make sure that the truck is on level ground,

              Cheers, Nick
