Question for popeye

I am thinking of making a snorkel for mine using a landrover mushroom top on exhuast pipe type steel (sprayed body colour) but what did you use to edge the hole in the wing?

This is ace has any one got a shopping listof all the parts i need so i can head to B&Q also where do you get the top intake part? oh one more think is 3 or 4" best?

mines cost £7.88 from homebase. i used fuel pipe on wing hole to protect pipe. iv now got mushroom on top.
