my DIY chimney snorkel progress... (Yes Bibs there are pics)

well then I will finally fit my diy snorkel later...

Seen as I wanted to save my money for a lift I decided to make a cheap alternative to a snorkel,
as some of u know I bought this:



Due to the bulge on the bottom it would not be a snug fit.
Also welding it straight to the bonnet did not seem like a brilliant idea, because I would probably blow a hole.
Also I would burn the paint off etc...

so the bottom come off and put a square plate on with four bolt holes.
I will cut a nice round hole in a minute and 4 little ones for the bolts and then just bolt it straight on with 4 stainless bolts and double nuts on the bottom..
Bit of silicon in between that should do the trick...

yeh brand new tractor part..

cut and drill holes



cut a rubber as I have not got silicon handy...





And bolt it on with stainless steel bolts





Just gonna find some hose later.....
Then paint it after Wales....
