Rear Bumper Dimensions

I知 trying to CAD up a rear bumper for the surf, but have managed to leave it at home

If any of you have got a spare couple of minutes, a 2nd Gen surf and a tape measure I壇 be grateful if someone could provide me the width of the rear of the truck (excluding bumper) and the distance between the rear bumper mounts so that I can get a basic design done and then i'll get some more measurements when I get home to make sure it値l fit.

I値l put some pics of the design up later when I get something worth while.

Have done something similar and made the bumper. Not fitted it yet, would get you dimensions now, but bumper is at my nan's and won't be able to go measure it. This may be of help to you though http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/forums/sh...=bumper&page=3

Cheers Chaos. That's helped with the mounts, now all I need to do is is come up with the bumper design.

Mine is two lengths of 1.5" steel tube, bent around the back of the truck. Something to absorb the impact of people who tailgate

You don't know the worst of it yet...but I managed to get the dimensions earlier so might have something ready over the weekend.

Chaos, I was thinking of 2 lengths of tube, but I'm adventurous so the designs are taking a bit longer than expected.

Last time i'm leaving you alone with my truck just make sure it's strong enough to hang a winch on if required
