  • OME LC springs and shocks on a red Smurf?? Help Needed...

Well I have decided that it's time for some alterations on the surf as soon as my insurance money comes through.

I would like a 3" or so sus lift.
Now the LC springs and shocks will do this I understand.
    Is it a straight fit?
I would like to put them on as they are stronger I'd imagine..

If so does anyone know where I can get the OME ones reasonable?
    (Boyo......)

Or would people say that a pro-comp set or something will do?
I would like it to be tough tho and last that is why I was thinking of OME.
I had OME on the pickmeup in Australia and they were just brilliant.

    Any advice great fully received..

    Thanks guys in advance..
One day at the time I guess..

OME shocks are only available in +2" i believe mate.

Which wont be quiet good enough for the LC springs.

Procomp ES model shocks are highly reccommended.

There also great 'bang for your buck' at £35 a shock.

http://www.tbruk.com/index.html follow the products link on the left of the page.

I fitted 0850 and 0863 springs front and back with the matching shocks and steering damper. I have fitted these rear springs to keep the truck up even when heavily loaded.

I would fit 0860 springs on a Surf - the 0863's would be way too heavy duty otherwise - the LC weighs 2480kgs empty (I had it on a weighbridge last week) so is already about 500kg's heavier than a Surf.

if your gonna be off roading then you will want to consider getting the extended braided brake lines from roughtrax

cheers for the reminder..i noticed the rear flexi was pulling tight when i dropped the axle to put the springs. Still on std dampers at the mo' so no real articulation to put any stress on it.
