  • ATF temp monitoring

I've been making a sender adaptor for the ATF temperature as I want to know what effect the cooler / fan combination are having, and the temperature of the ATF before I dump it through the main rad.. There doesn't seem to be anything on the market to take a temperature sender inline on 3/8" ID hose.

This is it so far. Its an offcut of 1.5" ally bar. I still need to open up the hole to 15mm to take the 3/8" BSP hose adaptors (actually bought from a PC watercooling company, and ideal for the job), but have successfully fitted the 1/8" NPT threaded sender.

Need to buy a 15mm drill bit and a 3/8" BSP tap, but hey, once you've got em, you've got em eh?

That should work ok, just remember to earth the sender or the body. Done a similar job on the GMC.

I was planning on bolting the block to the truck so it should earth through that. It would be nicer than just letting the block dangle on the hose anyway...
