  • Balljoint spacers

    Check out this site!http://home.san.rr.com/sdors/

Seems an interesting solution to a front ifs lift(torsion bar tweak) without straining cv joints or installing freewheeling hubs!

    Cheers

One thing I would check when they are fitted is the caster and camber as there are significant possibilities that they may change - camber especially will cause tyre wear and caster will cause the steering to feel really odd.

They recommend getting the alignment done after installation.

It won't make things any better, they still increase the angle the drive shafts run at, just another solution to twisting the torsion bars.

The only way of keeping the CV angles the same is to lower the diff by the same amount like a convetional lift does.

Yes, your spot on with that Tony, must have been half asleep when I looked at the website!

I guess It's only good if you want to keep the ride quality with a moderate lift!
            cheers

Actually I may be wrong, but because you are moving the lower arm away from the center point of the hub you should get a lift but keep the driveshafts running at the same angle.

Mind you I might be thinking about this all wrong.

              Cheers

                Yep talking rubbish again.

Just had a think about it and they are top balljoint spacers not bottom ones. wouldn't get any lift with bottom ones. Tony's right as usual.

                DOH!!!!!!

Ordered my spacers yesterday. Starting my cheapy lift. Rear coil spacers for the back. Then get 32" muddies for when my tyres go.
